So he said to them, "Please hear this dream which I have dreamed: There we were, binding sheaves in the field. Then behold, my sheaf arose and also stood upright; and indeed your sheaves stood all around and bowed down to my sheaf.". ~ Genesis 37:6 -7
His brothers didn't need a prophet to tell them the interpretation of the dream. It simply meant Joseph who was the youngest of them all as at that time will be great and they will end up bowing to him.
The revelation of the dream made them detest Joseph and unknowingly to them they served as an instrument in propelling the manifestation of the dream.
But,
God only revealed a part of His plans to Joseph. God didn't reveal to him that his brothers would sell him off, that he will become a servant in a strange land and his master's wife will seduce him. God didn't reveal that he will end up in prison.
Isn't God a wonderful story teller?
Joyce Meyer once said "God does not tell us everything that will happen in the future, but the Bible tells us that He will tell us of things to come."
God only showed Joseph a part. I will say God showed Joseph the captivating part of His plans for him. Out of excitement Joseph went ahead and told his brothers.
We can't blame him. I would have done the same.
But, this made me realize that not everything that God reveals to you is for public consumption.
Some are like premature eggs that need an incubator to mature to their fullest.
Don't kill that word of prophecy or revelation even before they begin to take form.
For some persons, God must have revealed some beautiful plans He has in store for you.
You'd hear things like " God said I am a voice in my generation, God said my sounds will reach nations, God said I will travel around the world preaching and doing mighty things for Him, God said this God said that.
All this and more that God has said are all intriguing but that's just a part He told you.
You must know that for all this to come to limelight, there are some sacrifices you must be ready to pay.
Joseph was betrayed by his own brothers, he faced temptation, he was locked up for a crime he didn't commit.
In all this, God was preparing him for a higher place.
Your current statue may not look like what God told you or you may be going through a season that is not palatable.
I have a word for you. What you are going through is part of the script God didn't tell you beforehand.
You need to experience this unpalatable side of the story in order to come to the full manifestation of God's plan for your life.
These unpalatable sides of the story are also necessary so that you won't misbehave when you begin to manifest.
So, it's just like God is making sure you can be trusted with those intriguing revelations He showed you.
